gayteen plus!

Gap and Beyond…

We have launched a new service to support our members aged 18plus to start exploring new places and spaces.

  • Opportunity to explore, build confidence , make new friends , meet other LGBTQ+ people and visit queer places
  • Build on your life skills, make connections and get support with your next steps
  • Meet up for a coffee and a chat, attend events and continue being queer!

As part of the Gayteen Plus service we have put together a list of some of the many LGBTQ+ services in London. And we will also be visiting inclusive mainstream places and adding them to this list. Where a venue has been visited by a Gayteen plus member, you will see a green tick Vibe Check notice!

If you’d like support from Gayteen Plus please contact T on 07387 905662

And if you feel confident to explore independently, below are some tips and suggestions to help make the process easier:

  • Start exploring new services whilst you are still accessing Free2B support so that you can settle in to somewhere new whilst you still have the ‘safety net’ of Free2B.
  • And if you start exploring new services whilst you are still with Free2B, the team can help you if you want support contacting new places.
  • If possible, visit new places with a friend or trusted family member.
  • Look for services /groups that are of personal interest to you (perhaps a sport you enjoy or hobby you enjoy). We have listed some services below.
  • Remember you were new with Free2B once! Joining somewhere new may feel scary but it’s also a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friends!

Take a look at the groups below and why not search online to look for other groups that are of interest to you.

To explore accessibility at each of these listed services / venues, you can search their website

You can also use the Access Able website which gives detailed information on accessibility. Though please note they can only lists organisations who have registered with them – if you can’t find a particular organisation it doesn’t mean they are not accessible, just that they aren’t registered with the site: https://www.accessable.co.uk/
