It is difficult for me to be able to access online

I have trouble getting online / I don’t have a private place to join online sessions so I’m not sure what to do?

We do have in persons groups and 121 support.

If we are based in your school we can explore whether school may be able to support with online access or we can help you research local libraries.

And please do speak to our staff so we can also explore if there are any other solutions.

Im not out about my sexuality/gender identity

I’m not out at home about my sexuality / gender identity. Is it still possible to access your services safely?

If you are aged 13 or over you can consent to access our support yourself.

We will need to ask you for a parent or carers details in case of emergency, for example if you needed urgent medical attention whilst you were at one of our groups. But we understand the challenges for any young person accessing an LGBTQ+ service and we are extremely sensitive in our approach.

If you are under 13 we do need your parent’s consent to make sure we are following regulations. So if you are not out and don’t feel it’s safe to come out, we have lots of activities online you may like to access while you wait until you are 13 and able to self consent: Head back to the index using the button at the bottom of this page and choose the ‘Activities’ tab.

My family are Unsupportive

I am out at home but my family don’t support my identity and they won’t let me come to your groups so I’m not sure what to do?

We have our Wednesday Wellbeing group on WhatsApp.

And we can offer 121 support – we can explore when and where/how to meet to help people to access our support.

We also have a parent group and resources and can contact your parents/ carers to chat things through if you would like us to.

If you’re not sure, please get in touch so we have explore a way forward.

friendship challenges

I wanted to come to one of your groups, but I don’t get on with people who go there so I’m not sure what to do?

All of our members are entitled to access whichever groups they would like to. If you’ve fallen out with / or don’t get on with other members, please talk to staff and we can help figure things out together.
