2023 Team Evaluation Results

Overall experience of working or volunteering with Free2B rated 9.9 out of 10!

Comments and suggestions included:

  • Would be useful to use a Googleform to gather rota availability.
  • It’s nice to introduce new volunteers on WhatsApp.
  • Reminder from previous feedback that Volunteers may wish to check with their employers as they may be entitled to volunteer leave.

What do Staff and Volunteers enjoy most about working with us?

  • I enjoy organising activities for young LGBT people where they feel able to express themselves freely in a safe environment. With the youth clubs, I enjoy promoting a space where young people’s sexuality & gender identity are respected and celebrated.

  • Speaking with LGBTQ+ adults about Free2B when people ask what my job is I usually get the response “I wish I had this when I was a teenager…things would have been so different.” It’s nice to know our service users are getting that and hopefully in future will look back and be happy they had us when they needed it.
  • That I can be myself and in doing so, hopefully empower any LBGTQ+ young people to be themselves too.

  • I love being able to support young people in a safe and friendly setting. The staff and volunteers are so lovely and really care about helping young people.

  • Seeing the young people feeling safe enough to express themselves.

  • Supporting an organisation that seeks to empower people that would otherwise be marginalised
