We have an exciting opportunity to join Free2B and help deliver our growing services for LGBTQ+ young people aged 13+ (as well as some pre-teens).
- LGBTQ+ Community Support Worker
- 14 or 21 hrs per week (to suit candidate preference) to include rota’d Wednesdays 5:30-6:30 and Fridays 4:30-5:30 for online groups.
- Fixed term contract until December (possibility to extend with funding applications underway).
- Salary scale re qualifications and experience: £15.00-£17.01 per hour plus 3% pension employer contribution. (Full-time Equivalent £27,300 – £30,958)
- Working in-person across various secondary schools in Wandsworth Borough weekly. Adhoc community settings, Free2B office in Wandsworth Borough, and flexibility to undertake admin tasks from home or other suitable location.
Whilst the role includes working in schools, the position is year-round, with community-based activities through the school holidays.
We are looking for a Community Support Worker to contribute to the delivery of our LGBTQ+ youth provision:
- Providing a 1:1 support service to a caseload of young people within secondary schools and community settings.
- Delivering ‘safe space’ forums in schools and youth group both onlien and in person, providing engaging group activities.
- Offering a safe space for young people to explore their situations and develop the necessary skills and strategies to manage the difficulties they face.
