Yesterday marked the last day of LGBT+ History Month! This year’s theme, ‘Medicine – #UnderTheScope‘, highlighted the incredible impact of LGBTQ+ people across healthcare.

Let’s celebrate a few LGBTQ+ healthcare heroes:
Dr. Louisa Martindale: First female GP in Brighton, founded New Sussex Hospital for women, advocated for cancer treatment, and received a CBE for her contributions.
Dr. Ronx Ikharia: Trans & Nonbinary A&E Doctor, TV presenter, and author of ‘Amazing Bodies’.
Dr. Bernard Ho: NHS dermatology consultant, chairs Skin Diversity Subcommittee, and Co-Chair of LGBTQ+ Staff Network, focused on improving LGBTQIA+ healthcare.
Barbara Burford: Equality and diversity pioneer in healthcare, civil service, and consultancy, known for her contributions to NHS equality guidelines and advocacy for feminism and LGBTQ+ rights.
