Our forums in secondary schools and community services are an informal drop-in to enable young people to come together in a fun and safe space.
Young people do not need to become a member of Free2B to access the sessions. We do aim to gather limited information via a register – to help us provide anonymous data to funders (for example on the number of regular attendees). This includes initials, self described ethnicity and an option if comfortable to self describe gender and sexuality.
We seek consent via a tick box option to collect Date Of Birth though this is not mandatory and a young person is still welcome to attend a forum regardless. In line with ICO guidelines secondary school aged children are able to provide consent if they choose to.
This is stored on our secure database (with two-step authentication)
Records will be stored for 7 years after an individual has left our service. However after a 12 month period the Date of Birth will be removed from the record.

As part of the Free2B safeguarding agreement with schools and community service, any safeguarding concerns will be passed on to the school’s Safeguarding Lead, as part of our duty of care. This is to support you or someone else getting the support they need.
